Hi Mr. Pinkwater,

I recently took a class on Ancient Scandinavian Mythology and Religion and learned that the tree Yggdrasil’s name is more properly pronounced, in the original Old Norse, with a leading ‘oo’ sound (like ‘book’ or ‘boogie’)… which would make Yggdrasil Birnbaum’s nickname more properly pronounced ‘Oogy.’ I try not to spend too much time wondering about what if functional characters were real, but I do feel relief in knowing that Yggdrasil can’t hear me accidentally calling her ‘Oogy.’
