Zombie Chicken Alert! Petaluma, California. Long a hotbed of radical Jewish chicken farmers, is now the home of zombie chickens. The market for spent hen meat has collapsed and so farmers are euthanizing gobs of unwanted hen chickens and plowing them into fields and covering them with sawdust. Chicken compost.
