I have a question: in the Snarkout Boys and the Avacado of Death did Walter ever get caught snarking out to the movies or to Ed and Fred’s Red-Hots? Were the hot dogs at Ed and Fred’s really twice as big as regular hot dogs, and was it just the light making them as red as they were?

No, I never received a Newbery prize. They only give those to serious writers. An early novel, Lizard Music, was a sort of second runner-up, but that was before I stopped being serious.
